About Us

We are a business aiming to achieve Sustainable Earth Care Systems by assisting people to buy, sell, design, build and develop properties and products that assist us to live in more sustainable ways.

We look for and value features such as:
Energy efficiency, renewable resources, embodied energy assessments, growing food and plants organically, and creating landscapes based on Permaculture and Bush Regeneration principles.

Our commitment is to the land, the natural habitat, to ecological sustainability.
We assist property owners to pass on their work in designing, creating, preserving, conserving, to other stakeholders who will appreciate, value, continue and consolidate the work done.
We also work with other businesses, individuals and organisations to participate in our activities to protect the world and all its living creatures for future generations.

We have a great team of staff and consultants we work with as well as many organisations and other businesses committed to making a difference for sustainability.

In 1995 Catriona Jane MacDiarmid and Patty Kolln met at the Permaculture Convergence in Adelaide.

"We were very excited to meet each other, given our interest in business, property and the environment - not a common mix - and by 1998 we were able to combine our skills, interests and commitment into developing our companies." - Catriona Jane

During 1995 Catriona Jane commenced building the first house for her sustainable housing project in Daylesford, Victoria whilst working in her own business, training and consulting in enterprise development.
Catriona Jane has a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) from the University of NSW and a Graduate Diploma in Organisation Behaviour from Swinburne, Melbourne and a Permaculture Design Certificate with David Holmgren.
Previously a small business development specialist, Catriona Jane has worked in local and federal government policy and research areas and several community organisations in NSW and Victoria.

Patty Kolln is a Licensed Real Estate Agent and has qualifications and undertaken training in Accounting, Building, Bush Regeneration and Horticulture, Tree Surgery, Organic Farming and a Permaculture Design Certificate with Max Lindegger and Frances Lang and an Eco Village Workshop.
Patty hopes to develop an eco village at Oyster Bay in Sydney.
